LIVING, Travelling & Eating Peanut Free
Living Peanut Free, dedicated to peanut free products, travel, airline and dining guides as well as premium, professionally translated allergy travel cards.
My name is Dan Johnston and like you my life has been deeply effected by a peanut allergy. Since my first reaction at age 2 what I ate, where I went and who I was friends with was controlled by my allergy. I lived with a sense of helplessness for much of my life.

The web is blessed by a collection of mother’s blogs about their child’s allergy, but very little material by those who have lived with this allergy. I hope to offer a valuable point of view on the issues of the day that is able to compliment my fellow bloggers. As a child growing up with a life threatening peanut allergy you never quite feel at ease. Perhaps it is during a friend’s party when their parents offer you a snack and you’re forced to be rude because you don’t know if the ingredients are safe, or during PE class when you have to play with other kids you saw eating peanut butter sandwiches earlier. I know exactly how these events can change a child and affect them in negative ways, and together we can work to create change and make things better.
I have created this website to serve. I am here dedicated to providing up to date information, a supportive community and innovative, practical products to serve each and every one of you. We can create change, but I can’t do it alone. I ask for your help: Read my articles, forward related articles to friends and family, and post your comments. You may have noticed this website is ad-free. I prefer to utilize all available space to provide useful information for you and your family. As I final favour I ask that you consider supporting me through the purchase of my unique products you can find here.
I’ve dubbed this blog’s motto: Making Allergies Cool Again. Another aim of this site is to offer information on LIVING not just getting by with a peanut allergy. On occasion I may offend or seem to downplay the seriousness of this allergy in an attempt to illustrate the importance of enjoying life and not forming ones identity around our limitations. My writing will be focused on life tips, travel, dining out and all kinds of exciting activities. I hope you enjoy.
As always, LIVING Peanut Free,
Dan Johnston.
